The mission of the CSU Transportation Department is to provide safe, comfortable and reliable transportation via the best mode of travel for the individual needs of faculty, staff, and students.

• 7-passenger van (Local Rate), $.70 per mile, $15.00 base charge for under 30 miles
• 11-passenger van (Local Rate), $.70 per mile, $15.00 base charge for under 30 miles .
• 7-passenger van (Long distance Rate),$125.00 per day for 200 miles or less, $.30 per mile after 200 miles
• 7-passanger van just added to the fleet with TV, DVD, and VCR. For this van request 309.
• 11-passenger van (Long distance Rate), $125.00 per day for 200 miles or less, $.30 per mile after 200 miles
• 12-passenger bus, $1.35 per mile, no fuel charge, $135 minimum charge* (includes special needs vehicles)
• 20-passenger bus, $1.45 per mile, no fuel charge, $145 minimum charge*
• 25-passenger bus, $1.45 per mile, no fuel charge, $145 minimum charge*
• 32-passenger bus, $1.45 per mile, no fuel charge, $145 minimum charge*
• 45-passenger bus, $1.65 per mile, no fuel charge, $200 minimum charge*
• 53-passenger bus, $1.65 per mile, no fuel charge, $200 minimum charge*

*Minimum charge includes up to 100 miles and up to four hours for the driver. Additional miles will be billed at the appropriate per mile rate. Additional driver hours will be billed at $20 per hour.

A cancellation notice must be received no later than noon of the last working day before the scheduled dispatch time. A $100 fee will be assessed for no notice of cancellation.

Certified drivers will be provided on all buses. For non-local trips, additional fees will be assessed for driver lodging and meals.

Van
$25 - No notice of cancellation
$25 - Cleaning fee if returned with trash and excessive dirt
$25 per day - Failure to return van to Plant Operations

Bus
$100 - No notice of cancellation
Driver expenses for lodging and meals

Services

Bus charters: Buses are available for charter at affordable rates to all departments for university-related activities. To request service, call James Glenn at 706-569-3128. Upon approval fill out a Bus Request on eQuest.

Van rental: 7-passenger or 11-passenger van(s) are available for lease without a driver. The vehicle may be leased only for university-related events by faculty, staff and students with a valid driver's license.

Van driver training information: To drive a 7-passenger or 11-passenger van, faculty, staff and students must complete van driver training. The orientation process takes about an hour. Attendees will complete appropriate forms and watch a 30 minute video. Attendees should bring their valid driver's license with them. Attendees may have to test drive a 11-passenger van with a transportation employee.

Please note: Van orientation, provided by Transportation staff, is required for all those who will be driving a 7-passenger or 11-passenger van.

Transportation Services vehicles are to be used for official state business only.
